Morpheus vs Mr. Mxyzptlk

Morpheus(AKA "Dream"😉 from The Sandman witnesses Mr Mxyzptlk trolling Superman in outer space one day, and in a rare fit of kindness, decides to put a stop to it.

Who wins?

Mxy. Most universal/multiversal concepts (like Dream) do not apply to him... They are his to manipulate.

There are some members of the Endless, however, that even Mxy is subject to on some level (ie. Destiny.)

Dream bores him to death.

This is the canonical outcome.

WF Mxy destroys ALL. Literally.

Mxy.

Mxy one-shots Dream .

stop using the endless for vs. battles. you cheapen the entire story line by putting them in these fights.

Morpheus might be able to hold sway over Mxy in the Dreaming.

Not really. I'm a huge Neil Gaiman fan, and I have no problem using them.

I don't know that it "cheapens" the characters, but they certainly aren't suited for a vs. format.

Stories involving the Endless and similar characters are mostly focused on the characters and the storytelling -- and to accomplish this without it being stupid the writers tie the characters' hands with rules/consequences or what some might consider PIS/CIS.

So no, it doesn't cheapen, but it's not a great format.

But the the fella in that scene wasn't Morpheus, it was 'Mopius'(an obvious spoof) who was found within a comic from Mxy's personal 5D comic collection... It's really hardimpossible to gauge how powerful that Dream analogue was.

Aside from that, the funniest part about the scene (which many people overlook) is that Mxy actually 'tanked' the very same 'monologue-attack' from Mopius that put Ultimator in an eternal sleep:
