This thread will be dedicated to Waverider!

It will be divided into a few main sections:
Part I: Bios/Origin.
Part II: Powers/Abilities.
Part III: Misc./Gee-Whiz Info.

Let's start off with a few bios:

Powers/Abilities (I):

It should go without saying, but Waverider can (obviously) travel through time/space/reality on a whim:

Aside from simply traveling through time, Waverider can also halt it completely...

Stops time around Superman:

Freezes time in a Limbo zone:

Powers/Abilities (II):

Waverider is immune to time stops produced by the Linear Men:

After Liri Lee 'ports away, Waverider is able to follow her back to Vanishing Point by reading the residual temporal energies she left behind:

Frees Superman from the temporal stasis Liri trapped him in:

Not even the stasis fields of Vanishing Point's defense system can affect Waverider—he can warp the energies of the stasis fields with ease:

Before leaving Vanishing Point, Waverider snatches Liri's chronal wrist band. With this item, Waverider can now take others throughout time with him:

Powers/Abilities (III):

Not only did Matt Ryder BECOME pure energy when he was transformed into Waverider, but he also gained the ability to CONTROL pure energy. This allows him to 'shape shift' into whomever he chooses, via manipulating electromagnetic energy…

Being that Waverider is pure energy, he is also quite fast...

"I am faster than light impulses at one with time.":

Without time manipulation, Waverider was able to keep up with Flash (who was traveling FTL):

Can exist in an almost incorporeal state that not even Superman notices:

On that note, even some of the more 'haxxed-out' forces in DC were incapable of laying a finger on Waverider, thanks to his unique... composition.

Despite his "I don't do logical" aura, Lobo can't touch him:

Despite all of his magics, Captain Marvel can't touch him:

Superman's 'reality-mending' HV can't touch him:

Waverider can also reassemble himself, even if he is dispersed/torn apart by outside forces:

Reassembles after being partially dispersed by a force equal to a million nuclear blasts:

Powers/Abilities (V):

By touching an individual, Waverider is able to freeze them in time, and view ALL of their possible futures simultaneously. Additionally, he is able to follow the 'most likely' future that individual will follow. This is an ability he used frequently—here are some of those instances…

Against Captain Atom:

"A million timelines wink in and out of existence, until one seems to snag reality."

After Rip Hunter tries (unsuccessfully) to attack Waverider, he [Waverider] manipulates the energy from the blast Rip fired, and uses it to reweave time itself. This is absolutely amazing!:

After accomplishing the above, Waverider was made one of the Linear Men.

Waverider can summon an infinite army of himself (and others) from various microseconds of time:

Waverider harnesses chronal energy in order to give Mon-El (and his duplicates) focus, in a point where time itself was breaking down:

Powers/Abilities (VIII):

Waverider is able to momentarily balance the forces of entropy itself. This, again, is absolutely amazing!:

Creates a stasis field to negate/protect various heroes from Extant’s chronal attack:

Negates the chronal attack Extant was using on Atom:

Breaks Superman out of a temporal cage created by Dominus:

Waverider was able to pluck heroes from various milliseconds of time BEFORE Parallax erased them during Zero Hour:

Protects those same heroes from a big bang by moving them outside of the time stream:

Plucks Parallax himself from the time stream and merges him with a 'good version' of Green Lantern from the previous/post-ZH universe, in order to preserve a stable point in time:

We will conclude this section with the most... Damaging feat Waverider has under his belt...

By directly by altering past events, Waverider effectively erased an entire timeline/universe/reality from existence during 'Armageddon 2001':

I have seen it mentioned before that Waverider was vulnerable to tachyon weaponry, which did seem to be the case here:

However, it was later stated that Waverider "LET" Vril capture him with said tech:

…So his vulnerability to tachyons can be debated, imo.

Waverider's powers are not contained solely to 'mainstream' time/space/reality… As evident when he teleported to Apokolips:

Waverider was ultimately 'killed' by a berserk Skeets, during 52:

However, Black Beetle later discovered that Waverider's corpse was still the key to ultimate power:

Amazingly, Vanishing Point itself was destroyed in an attempt to keep Waverider's corpse out of the wrong hands. That's how phucking powerful his husk is:

After finding Waverider's corpse, Black Beetle reveals that the real reason he wanted it was to rampage throughout all of [Hyper]time unaided (a near-extinct ability in DC at the time):

Ultimately, it is Liri Lee that assumes the mantle of Waverider:

Note that she fixed the temporal fissures that were mucking up reality, before she left.

Crap, I meant to post this earlier...

Brainiac 13 uses the artillery of Warworld in hopes of perma-destroying Waverider and the other Linear Men:

Long story short, Waverider ultimately reformed:

Note that after reforming, Waverider (as well as a few of the other Linear Men) opted to remain in their essential bio-auras/weird brainy forms out of convenience, not need.

It was still Skeets(obviously), but Skeets was being controlled by Mr. Mind at the time.
