Need Title of 1970s Martial Arts Film

Can't remember the name of an Asian martial arts film circa 1970s. The masters drank poisoned water. One master survived and taught a young student. The student walked into town and let everybody know that he was carrying a book of secret martial arts (except the pages were blank inside). He took a beggar girl who was dressed as a boy to a restaurant and a lot of fighting started. Everybody in town wanted his book (except he did not really have it).

A few characters followed him around and one betrayed him.

Sounds along the line of Five Deadly Venoms, but not quite.

These martials arts movies have similar scripts! It is not the seven venoms, but is probably another Shaw Brothers movie. I thought *somebody* would know it.
