Hulk has a 30+ year history of going to toe to with Thor and taking his best hammer throw hits. And Thor has a similar Silver Age to current rack of showings in the planet busting leagues (including a direct quote that he would smash planetoids at target practice with Mjolnir).
And last but not least; Hulk has pounded Gladiator, and Gladiator destroyed a world/star in 3 punches.
Similar striking power = similar result.
The raw strength is there; but the application is foolish. If Hulk punched his way through the planet, he would end up floating in space..
Hulk fought a weakened Gladiator and Thor never gave Hulk his most powerful hit/blast.

Gladiator was weakened during the end of the fight by radiation. During most of it, he was at full power and got thrashed. That wasn't a normal Hulk though...hell, it could be argued that this Hulk was one of the most powerful. He lost his connection with Banner due to his fight with Onslaught. It temporarily dropped his durability but it increased his strength to levels never seen before. A couple of issues after this, Hulk was throwing off radiation like WBH was...it was too the point that it was melting people if they were to close to him. This Hulk was also one shotting everyone that came or approached him. Gladiator lasting as long as he did against this amped Hulk was a good showing but Glads weakness had nothing to do with it...he lost the fight before this happened.

Dude Gladiator was weak before and during the fight, he was weak against the radiation and the were fighting near a power plant which was the reason.

Show me a scan stating Gladiator was weakened during the beginning of the fight. It happened during the end when one of the barrells from the power plant start leaking radiation due to Hulk and Gladiator fighting.

Here's your proof.
You do notice how the reactor had already gone critical before Gladiator was subdued right? And that they were fighting in a location rife with radiation? And that ambient radiation is Gladiator's kryptonite? So Gladiator would have been weakened merely by virtue of being in that arena, and that tossing him into the reactor was mere overkill?
Also Hulk did a sneak attack.
