A new shot of Sandra Bullock...
[Source]Here’s a quote from Cuaron about what he hopes to accomplish with Bullock’s character:
”She’s confronted with the idea that Earth is so far away. She can see the whole Earth and she doesn’t belong to it,” says Cuaron. “What is really scary for people is being lost or alone in the immensity of the void.”
Gravity opens October 4.
New trailer, pretty damn good...
I didn't realize this movie has been so long in the making. An interesting read...
"It was supposed to be ready last November."
I can see why only having 20 seconds to film would bother Cuarón because he used such amazing long-shots in Children of Men. It makes for a much more immersive experience.
Oh, Cuarón also apparently shows interest in doing a Horror movie. Now that would be awesome. The best directors can work well in any genre, so it'd be interesting to see how he'd do.

just got back from seeing this..its a pretty decent film.. Bullock's performance is good, but not oscar worthy.
I too just saw this today. Bullocks' performance was good for sure but the acting is not what makes this movie enjoyable or even worth watching. It is the scenario and the effects that bring the scenario to life that make this movie worth watching. This isn't to say the acting isn't bad because what little acting there is in this movie do help to bring the scenario to life but i'm willing to bet that the movie would have the same impact without any dialogue.
If you're on the fence for this movie you should definitely go see it in the theater. This is one of those movies that are helped by watching it on the big screen. However, with that said not much happens in the movie. I think the movie could have been a half hour shorter. Although it is a fun ride and the effects are truly stunning at times.
I saw it last night. Quite spectacular, both in style and execution, as well as the performances from Clooney and Bullock. I'm a litttle iffy on the scene where
Spoiler:. I'm not sure I'm buyin' that. But otherwise I found it completely immersive thanks to the long shots without cuts. I love his direction and the film just looked fantastic.
Clooney floats off to his demise, though. It's not like there's wind in space, so she should have been able to pull him back.
