You know instead of throwing a little flashy/smoke thing at Bane, why didn't Batman just throw one of those bombs he always has on him?
Or his tranquilizer darts....Batman was a douche in TDKR. He wanted to beat Bane down regardless of Alfred's warnings. And failed. Nolan Batman sucks.
If only Alfred was Batman in those films.

Finally.IMO, Batman's skill went down each film.
I think people who like Nolan's Batman, don't really know the comic book Batman.
It was obvious Nolan didn't want to do the recent film.
Batman did display moments of skill prior to the Bane fight that showed such skill. But Nolan's point was in a direct confrontation with Bane Bruce would go for the direct physical route, and once he failed it it would try to-
-smoke bomb Bane ....lame.
-turn off the lights to hit Bane in a vulnerable spot.....fail.
-then try to simply punch Bane out....fail.
Bruce could've clenched his tranq blades in his fists and shoved them in Banes exposed body, turn off the lights then hide then use his rope gun to hit the high ground and tranq the remaining men surrounding the upper areas.
Jeez Alfred even saw the skills Bane had and warned Bruce prior to the battle and Bruce simply stated "I just fight harder".........
What a loser. Not JLA material. He even handled the later events of the film in a lame fashion.
Not taking out the other tanks with his Batwing and him not taking the bomb out of the city as soon as he could, instead watching his ex give her speech and clumsily dragging the bomb out of the city.
Let alone Lucius Fox who didn't activate the flood gates when the bomb was being primed. Especially after TDK when he told Batman that his X-Ray tech was something no man was ready to have.

Or he could at least have thrown one of his trusty batarangs instead of those firecracker pellets. He seemed to forget that he a had a utility belt filled with lots of nifty gadgets. Jeeze.
Oh, and Myers destroys Bane.

Definitely not.
The Bane fight just looked like a regular UFC or some other "MMA" fight. Lame.
In first film, Batman actually does some Bat-things:
- Makes men disappear into the darkness at the docks.
- Makes men disappear into the air and darkness at Scarecrow's warehouse.
- Jumps down many stories, uses Bat-summoning device for distraction
- Takes on the League of Shadows assassins
- Uses grappling hook
- Swings from the train
- Used Batarangs
- Glides in Air
In the sequels there are less and less "Strike from the darkness" moments. Fighting ability also goes downhill. Appears more and more regular human like.
He'd be a good security guard at the Watch Tower though.
