I didn't say Xavier was in a coma as he was after Mystique sabotaged Cerbero, so why didn't you assume Xavier was in bad shape here?

Because that happened in X-men 2. In the 3rd film he's possessing some brain dead guy at the end.

I.E. we use the latest version of the character unless specified. It's common sense.

In that case, Xaveir's already in Cerebro using the pre allowed, connected to everyone on the planet; knows exactly who all the enemies are; what they can do and the moment the fight starts and at the speed of his thoughts makes all the Heroes believe they're Japanese schools girls who want to take each other out via pillow fight.

ie Xavier + Cerebro + Prep = Xavier solos.
