We know that Mags can draw power from Jupiter (that one time feat) but we don't know what his limit is.Any straight fight has Mags losing. Bfr is the only option here.
Magneto didn't just pull energy from one planet, he was pulling it from multiple of planets. Enough planets that he was able to feel phoenix destroying them.

You're talking about the same comic.
Examine the narration of the following more closely.
Magneto does indeed start pulling energy from planets other than Jupiter.
Rather more amazing to me is how accurate his prediction is concerning the phoexnix 5 ...

I'm actually surprised to see as many people vote in favor of Doomsday as I have. Given this unexpected turn, I'll go ahead and include the detail I was going to include at the beginning but decided against for fear of this thread being called spite against Doomsday:
Orbiting the battlefield, within easy reach of either combatant, is a low orbiting satellite comprised of primary (i.e. the most durable form of) adamantium.
There is enough adamantium in this satellite, in fact, to encase a Hulk-sized being in a sphere with walls 10 feet thick.
Magneto can shape this metal with scarcely more trouble than he would iron or steel (because, such is, like, his power and all).
He's minded to use it to trap Doomsday. Would such succeed?
Would Doomsday have any chance of getting out of such imprisonment?
Would such give Magneto an automatic victory or do you still think Doomsday would need to be sent away?

Where did this satellite come from?

Can Mags manipulate and shape adamantium after its solidified? I'm assuming for this thread he can.
He did it to Logan back in the day...

An unconfirmed source maintains it came from Lisheen Mine in North Tipperary. A bit puzzling if true ...

Almost 20 years ago now, though, until you wrote this, I never realized just how much time has passed since that story ...

They bfr'd him in DD wars and in Hunter Prey as well.
It's just plot that they don't do it. Think of Wwh no one ever tried to bfr him butit worked against him before since that's why he started war against the heroes. It would have been funny to see Hulk "Im back" then Dr Strange would have just bfr him into space again.
Hulk would have just kept coming and coming until everyone was tired of the mess he left... his hot sticky mess...
