Dark Avengers Vs Chitauri Invasion.

Same setting as the final battle in Avengers except trying to protect Earth is now:

Doctor Doom (full metal form)
Blonsky (full Abomination form)
Green Goblin (glider + gear)
Sabretooth
Bullseye (assortment of knives + whatever he finds)
Agent Zero(twin guns)

Portal will close at the same time Black Widow closed it if at least one player lives that long barring Blonksy, can they take on all the Chitauri forces that came through? Who lives, who dies?

i would say it would depend on how motivated they are. There's a tooooon of ego here in Doom and Skulll. Blonksy is highly insubordinate, Goblin is crazy and Bullseye tends to work alone. Also, with just Doom and Blonsky being the big guns here (no Thor-like char to slow down the Chiti reinforcements) they might come a bit short on the power dept. and only Goblin can fly. And if he gets shot off his glider, that'll be it in terms of air support.Sabre and AZero are team players but don't matter enough to turn the tide. If they let their egos get in the way, def see the Chitauri overwhelming them eventually.

if they work together, no doubt Doom and Skull would be able topfigure out a plan of attack that would probably slow down the invasion fleet. But they would still have far more trouble than the Avengers.

I replaced Skull, figured Zero was a closer match to Widow.

As far as "ego" and "solo players" issue goes, The Avengers suffered from that themselves.

im guessing doom is leading the team yes? giving them orders and what not.. everyone seems like a suitable counter part to each hero except maybe sabertooth since he is no thor. which also means a lack of "bottle necking". that said its either bullseye or zero to go down first. they both seemed proficient enough as marksman but against the chitauri, im giving the edge to zero cause of his impressive agility. well....he could jump very high. sabretooth would be all over the place. im sure he would be sloppy getting tagged here and there but he would keep getting back up. blonsky and doom hold their own fairly easy. i think goblin gets taken out tho. cant bank like iron man and not nearly as fast to or skilled to out maneuver the chitaru. plus if he gets knocked of his glider...its a wrap. if either of the two marksman survive will be a toss up. now about those big flying snake things... dont know who would be able to really take them out. sure a-bom could hop on one or two but...he would be the only real threat to them. infact...those things might kill everyone minus blonsky.

yea doom and thor may have related elemental type powers but doom wouldnt come close to lighting up that hole in the sky the way thor did.

Yeah, but he lacks flight to get in range and the needed firepower to clog up the Chit gate. powerwise, I see him more of a grounded IM, tbh. :-p

I agree about Blonsky being driven a bit mad by the ( what appears to be) faulty SSS. he never lost that, tho andI feel like it would be a huge problem for anyone leading the team.

Haha. Thought both Skull and Azero was there. didn't see that it was an edit. just suddenly saw Azero and thought I missed im.

Yeah, Avengers had a lot of that, too. But their inherent heroism allowed them to go beyond their individual egos and work together as a team. Villains tend to be too selfish to go beyond themselves, tho. i see ego being an issue if Skull and Doom was present, but w/o Skull, the group would perhaps be able to eventually pull together when one or two of them get killed and the need for self preservation overule their indivual hangups. They still lack firepower, tho. Gob can't really replace IM. And Doom is no Thor. and their lack of durable air support will be a HUGE problem as many of the enemy heavy weapons fly. This team has a chance, but nowhere near what the Avengers team had.

IMO, Goblin is no Iron Man, but he has a powerful punch. His bombs alone that disintegrate people could clean up more ground troops than Iron Man could. He's also comparable in speed and strength to Spider-Man.

What if Doom can fly via Silver Surfer's board, though it's just a flying apparatus here.

Doctor Doom- Blasts every soldier in sight.

Blonsky- Does mass damage to the Chitauri. He won't smack down Loki though like the Hulk did. He wouldn't even go Stark Tower.

Green Goblin- Pumpkin Bombs kill everything they touch.

Sabretooth- Best chance of replacing Black Widow he can either climb or get thrown by Abomination onto a flyer. Regardless if he reaches the scientist he can more easily replicate the feat than Black Widow.

Bullseye- Will not do as well as Hawkeye. He won't relay co-ordinates he could very well die.

Agent Zero- Will kill more aliens than Black Widow. And could replicate her feat of closing the portal with help....just like Sabertooth.

Ironman and Thor really killed alot of soldiers. And Ironman destroyed the HQ. None of these guys are replicating that.
But they CAN close the portal if Sabertooth and Agent Zero aren't killed by Loki.......

And Loki can easily kill them....

They lose the war.

That would give doom both IM's and Thor's role. Having Cap's leadership role means that he would be quite the critical member here. Would def make it more interesting. Will post again in a few hours, my flight's about to board! 🙂

IMO, Blonski would wreck Loki, if Loki faced him.

Doom could likely put a vicious beat-down on Loki as well, he was going toe-to-toe with The Thing.

Even Goblin would do alright against Loki.

Which one of them stops the nuke?

Abomination- Did he show high jumping feats? Maybe he could start destroying the building itself but no doubt the Chitauri forces will blast him far easier than they did the Hulk.

Doom- Ain't getting up the tower without resistance. He'll spend his time killing fodder on the ground.

Green Goblin- His bombs won't affect Loki's durability. And Loki will blast away at him all the while the forces that Thor and Ironman didn't kill will be all over him.

This team just doesn't measure up.

Anyone of these wouldn't hesitate to try and kill Loki if they met up with him, but only Doom and Blonsky might have a chance.

The team is actually better balanced than the Avengers was. At least almost all the members of this team have decent powers and are closer to each other in terms of power levels.

There are only 2 problems I can see though:

1. Who takes care of the nuke?
2. Who bottleneck's the portal like Thor did?

Nuke could be downed by either Doom or Goblin. Nukes aren't designed to explode if they're shot down, generally.

Thor's bottle-necking was only for a matter of minutes and it managed to kill two dragon ships and several flyers. All it really accomplished was slow the initial invasion down or a few minutes.

None of the people on this list are as good as the big guns for the normal Avengers.

People need to remember the Hulk that fought Abom was not the same Hulk that fought in Avengers. They purposely wrote that Hulk at a lower power level for TIH. While they purposely wrote Hulk in avengers to be more of a threat.

Avengers Hulk would murder Blonsky in a fight.
