Similarities!!!

What Anime/Manga character is similar to a Marvel and DC character?

Example...I think Inuyasha and Wolverine are similar.

Hao Asakura and Ozymandias.

Does it have to be Marvel & DC only?........no doubt there's other similarities besides those two with anime characters.

Vegeta and Wolverine are kind of similar.

Hm, wanna elaborate on that a bit? I mean, they do have the animal thing, but I'm curious as to what you think their similar parts are.

Origin wise, yea, definitely.

In terms of personality, I'd say Gohan's the closer- I mean, when he grows up he's mild mannered, gets a secret identity, wears glasses, fights primarily to help others rather than joy in fighting...

jiraya from naruto is very similar to oro from street fighter 3. sf3 came out in 97 and naruto in 99, and in chapter 90.

kishi said he looked at tekken and street fighter for design ideas for a lot of his characters

Jiraiya's a lot more social, though ^^

They're both part of the 'hermit master' character type, which predates both by a lot. Jiraiya and Master Roshi (the turtle hermit!) of course have a ton of similarities.
