At what point did his career go straight down the toilet?

Sometime around 2006 (most experts agree it was shortly after he did Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) he decided to focus less on this acting career and pursue his life-long dream of becoming a walrus.

He's around 77% towards his goal, as seen above.

He was in a good short-film recently for the documentary company call VICE. Film was called the "The Forth Dimension".
