Captain Britain Vs. Original Human Torch

Recently happened in Secret Avengers #36. Not sure if the fight will continue in the next issue. Who do posters believe would be victorious?

I don't know much about CB, but I know hes around class 100 with flight and some magical properties. Seems like a very tough win for hammond. He performed well in the issue though. I want to know more about CB before I make my decision in the poll. Anyone? Maybe some feats?

Actually Captain Britain is class 90, with super sonic flight speed, great invulnerability, immune to telepathic assaults, he is
one tough mofo. Have to go with CB!!

Seeing as torch slugs it out with namor, class 90s not all that bad. Namor(and torch) are also capable of supersonic flight. Id like to get more of a feel as to just how invulnerable CB is. Hammonds flame has shown to be pretty powerful.

Captain Britain is one smart guy. His series has him pawning alot of bad mofo's like Dracula with his army of vampires, and such.

Captain Brittain is stronger than class 90.

In this issue he smashed through a sentinel and plowed torch into the ground with sufficient force. His flame sewmed to be too much though.

Britain's not more than Class 90. And since he's not magic anymore, but a mutant whose power is based on his current confidence in himself, that could be his downfall when he doesn't put Jim down right away.

Torch suckered him with that first blast. CB withstood that, and another blast and then plowed him into the ground. The rest is off panel but I think CB has at least a reasonable shot at putting him down first. Imo Torch has quickly downed more durable opponents though( Namor, Wonderman)

What know all of sudden CB is a mutant, and lost his magical powers that is wack. Where's Meggan, she'll beat Human Torch

It doesn't really make any sense, how is Torch more powerful than CB regardless if he lost his magic he is still a powerhouse non the less. And Human torch beating Wonder Man, unless became a elemental like Red Tornado of JLA.

Yep, leave it up to Meggan to get him out of an ass whooping. Like against Colossus.

His flame has downed more durable foes quickly

Here he simply emits an aura of heat and flame so strong that it immediately floors Wonderman, Ms Marvel, Ares, and Black Window collectively.

He even somehow infuses Sentry with or transfers his flame power to him and overwhelms him to the point where he retreats away from the fight scene

Here hes so hot that he burns at the bottom of the ocean. Changing the elemental structure of the water as his flame touches it

I have Avengers/Invaders comics, Im saying Wonder Man was flown through a sun by Hyperion and wasn't even phased, I understand to a point that HT get so hot that it's overwhelming to the people he is fighting, but people like Wonder Man, Sentry or Thor should be able to over come with their track record.

He showed a fair amount of resistance to jims flame in their encounter, but I'm pretty sure he lacks their durability of those guys or even Namor.

Sorry but the human torchs fire shouldn't affect him Captain Britain has fought Ms.Marvel in her binary form and come out the other end fine plus he has fought the phoenix force and he pushed it back.

The captain should win. He is British after all.

Sorry but the same writers of Secret Avengers showed CB doing well with the Phoenix's flames and yet now against HT the flames affect him thats sort of messed up don't you think?
