Django vs Beatrix Kiddo
Both are on opposite sides of a modern day city with GPS coordinates and a photograph to track down the other person(Yes, Django has been informed on how all post-19th century stuff works). The first one to kill the other wins. It's that simple.
Which Tarantino anti-hero wins?
One would think that Beatrix would just get a hold of a sniper rifle and kill the guy from a distance. There is a whole city separating them and if they have GPS coverage of where the other is, then Kiddo's modern day knowledge of weapons and equipment will give her the edge.
She's a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. She isn't just gonna rush the guy with sword in hand.
All she ever used was a sword. That's what she was trained in. The whole hit squad was up close and personal. You'd be just as likely to see her use a sniper rifle as you would Django a katana.
Also, since she never showed any training or skill with a sniper rifle, chances are she'd suck even if she got one. Django on the other hand was an excellent marksman with primitive rifles compared to what we have now. Give him a sniper rifle and she gets her head blown off.

Well that's where you are wrong. O-Ren Ishii was an expert sniper, as shown in the animated movie that accompanied her origin. All of the Deadly Viper Squad were versed in firearms but were also trained by Pai Mei, an extremely famous HQ Cinema and historical warrior.
O-Ren also only used swords in her live action scenes though she was an expert in firearms. The rest of the team showed the use of firearms when they stormed Kiddo's wedding day.
This is my simple point. All members of the Deadly Viper Squad were trained heavily in MA and weapon usage. But they also had experience in firearms.
O-Ren was a master marksman yet only used swords in live action. Yet they all held guns during the attack on the Bride.
Are you saying Beatrix can't handle an assault rifle or sniper rifle? considering the team's extensive history?
Django is gonna die due to the fact that the OP only gave him the ability to use loosely "Post 19th century stuff?"
I know this fight is loose as a goose but I refuse to give this fight to a man out of time compared to an expert assassin from the present.

This fight is as dumb as it gets. Give a cowboy from 1858 knowledge of the present and set him against an expert assassin from the modern times.
It's even more stupid by situating it in a major city with both members on separate sides.

I thought it was established we couldn't use animated movies unless specifically stated. That's why Riddick doesn't get feats from Dark Fury, even though it directly bridges Pitch Black and Chronicles.
Also, knowing how to shoot an assault rifle is a lot different than shooting a sniper rifle, and gunning innocent people down from close range with a bullet storm is different from making a single precise shot. If you're at the distance where a sniper rifle is even necessary, you've gotta be checking wind speed, target distance, bullet drop, target movement, etc... And most of that stuff is done with the assistance of a spotter. Anybody can pick up an assault rifle and have it down in a few days. It's as simple as point and click. Sniper training has a months long training course dedicated to it for a reason.
Django on the other hand had extensively shown gun training, and even with a repeater with nothing but a very simple iron sight, he bullseyed a guy going on a horse at least 20mph at night. If he was informed on how a GPS works, he's definitely been informed on how guns work.
He's clearly the better sniper as he has actually sniped people. At least 2 from extremely far away with a rather primitive rifle compared to now.
The animated episode was part of O-Ren's origin in the film. To say it doesn't count is madness.
It was a chapter in Kill Bill. And her feats count. As is the fact she used swords in all her live action scenes she was also shown to be an expert in modern day firearms.
I agree that obviously Django has "ANY" firearm expertise on film. By this argument any character in the history of film can kill Kiddo if they showed any sign of gun use.
Okay, let's put it this way. What did each party in this thread use a vast majority of the time? Beatrix used her sword, the strongest sword in the Kill Bill verse. Why wouldn't she use it now? She had plenty of opportunities to get a gun and use it to great effect in the movies.
Against Bill, against the Crazy 88, against Viper(Whatever Vivica Fox's character was), but she never did. She almost strictly used her sword.
For her to use something else is out of character and you know it.
Django on the other hand used nothing but guns. He shoots her. The end.

Bill = 2nd strongest Katana in existence

So they track each other down from opposite sides of the city, and she kills him first despite him having extreme range advantage, and an even faster quickdraw. Please. Django stomps because he has guns. Plain and simple. What can Beatrix do to not get shot in the face when they find each other?
And keep in mind Django was already a better tracker than her, as he got by with less information to go on. And killed nearly a dozen men with a single revolver.
