Amazing Spiderman 2 made crap tons of money but was a disastrous flop critically. In response Sony killed the franchise and went a whole new direction.
BvS is in the same vein, made crap tons of money but is being panned critically. I don't think WB is as desperate as Sony to have a successful superhero franchise so there won't be drastic changes I don't think. I predict Snyder will probably stick as the director for JL but there will be lots more studio oversight and he'll be on a shorter leash this time around.

Studio oversight would be a bad thing. Picking one guy to rein him in would be better, imo. Nolan was okay with MoS, but i'd like to see someone at DC on-board, like Johns.

This is why I wish WB would piss off.

It's already made most of it's money, so who cares?
Urm any sensible WB investor whose rightfully worried about spending $250mill+ on JL because it's up in the air if that would even make its money back after the critical failure and terrible box office multiplier of BvS, (assuming it doesn't make it close to 1Bill).
Also the fact that Snyder has just gone and massively devalued their biggest DC brand with Batman..

Before this movie came out, people were saying it was going to make Avengers level if not more. now it even making a billion is in doubt. it might not be a flop, but it is a very large disappointment. especially since this was the first live action meeting of the DC trinity.
I only said it had the potential to do Avengers or AOU type money, but I don't think anyone was seriously predicting that especially after the critics reviews came in.
My more realistic prediction was somewhere from 1.2-1.3bill (simply because the last 2 solo Batman movies grossed over 1bill in 2D) and I said even if it sucked it should make 1bill.
Well looks like the audience just didn't take to this. Still don't think there was anything wrong with the predictions and box office potential though.
If this doesn't even gross 1Billion then that is a failure IMO, and I'm saying that as someone who liked the movie.

Johns is involved in almost every DC movie, I'm just not sure to what extent.
Just give DC their own movie studio already. It's OK to learn from Marvel's success!
