Current Aquaman has already been given more respect right out of the gate. I think the potential for him now is a lot higher than before.
That being said, I have no issues putting him in the JLA. I don't know how much use he would be in this particular fight, unless you pair him off against BRB.
Arthur might not win, but it'd be an interesting fight.
That being said, if this is pre-reboot JLA, they stomp this.
Post reboot still wins, but it's a lot closer and they lose a couple of ppl.

The fans? Sure. In universe, though, he gets less.
