That feat didn't happen 'these days'. It happened back in 1999 when Jim Corrigan was still host to Spectre. That version of Spectre was never treated as fodder, like Crispus-Spectre was under Johns.

Corrigan was such a badass spectre. Even Johns had him owning KoT when he wrote Hal spectre being owned by KoT. Crispus was a ****ing joke though.
