Since Theseus, Perseus, and the Last Spartan were able to harm him(Perseus and LS using only normal blades, and LS being merely human), saying Raiden can't even inconvenience him...I dunno. Some of his feats, plus the power of his blade lead me to think he could do more than inconvenience him.

They never harmed him.

Clears it. What people need to understand is that these guys all rely on their powers. Raiden has amazing powers. But to begin with he was an incredible soldiers, one of the best in human history. He got the highest scores in all the VR missions, was awarded the Snake codename at Foxhound, could block bullets with his katana and he defeated Solidus in combat, a perfect clone of Big Boss who was also equipped with his enhancements, as well as Vamp. He is a great soldier, swordsman, martial artist, and plus, he can use stealth.

With addition of cyborg technology he is now fast enough to dodge bullets, can ragdoll giant mechas, is almost impossible to harm due to white blood technology by Metal Gear creator DR Marv.

Kratos was a Spartan general and accomplished warrior before becoming the Ghost of Sparta.

It doesn't matter if they rely on their powers. Their powers allow them to easily kill Raiden.

Doesn't God of War take place in medieval times? Raiden was a great soldier, perhaps the greatest, in a time period of guns and nuclear weapons, which is more powerful than anything we see in God of War. He is much better natural soldier than is Kratos.

Raiden is a great soldier, gets to use modern technology, and is one of the most powerful beings in MG canon.

Kratos is a big fish in a small pond, a pond with outdated technology and no concept of NDT.

Pre-medieval.

More importantly, it takes place in a pond with actual deities that can lay cities to waste personally, and whose presence affects the very world, and Kratos kills them.

Why is Raiden a better natural warrior than a spartan anyway, exactly?

Raiden does the things he does due to his superhuman enhancements. That's not purely skill.

On the other hand, Kratos effectively manages to wield weapons that would be impossible to wield in reality. Frigging giant daggers stuck to chains. No one could realistically wield that with the speed and flair that Kratos does without chopping themselves to ribbons.

Raiden uses an extremely simple weapon design, a single edged sword. Something Kratos has plenty of experience wielding anyway. There's very little you need to know using such a thing, because there isn't much of a mechanic needed to effectively use it.

Before his superhuman enhancements Raiden was probably the greatest non superhuman soldier of all time in MG canon. Better than Big Boss, The Boss, Gray Fox, anyone. He got the highest scores in the Vr training missions, and defeated Vamp and Solidus in combat. Solidus himself was a perfect clone of Big Boss, who was arguably the greatest soldier ever up to that time, except maybe Gray Fox, and Raiden killed a superhuman enhanced Big Boss clone, not to mention Vamp, who himself tooled Snake earlier in that chapter.

Kratos could kill every fighter in MGS at the same time.

Look at this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv3UMoZaWP8

Kratos attacks are so weak they is barely able to break wood.

He snapped the wood in half.
