Depends on the artist, really. I don't really consider a lot of american comic art realistic of proportional. Some of these boobs would be nigh impossible to carry around with the tiny waists and shoulders these girls are sporting.
I'm more inclined to like american artists because manga eyes and expressions take me right out of the moment and irk me on an aesthetic level.
