If Cyclops didn't see it coming, I'd agree that it's possible. With his reflexes though, I can't imagine it hitting him if he sees it coming, especially with his ability.

i always wondered does the visor stop the optic blasts (and if so how do they not get blasted of his face), or just turn it into a nonlethal ray of... macguffin. or what. also how come when he stops it with his eyelids they dont go blasting off or are his eyelids supper strong.
i also never got the spilling of light whenever he covers his eyes with his hands?
