This same adaption but put instantaneous as in portrayed in H/P would wreck Cell.DOS doomsday, the first incarnation of him being used here would lose more often than not. (not due to physical confrontation in my opinion)
He regenerated because there was something left for him to regenerate to.
You seriously think an all out kamehame wave from the air would leave traces of Doomsday adapt to?
Unlike Z soldiers, Cell doesn't have any care whether Earth Gets destroyed. He has cells from Freeza that will allow him to space even if the planet was destroyed.
