What if George Lucas didn't direct the prequels all by himself?

If he were to give the directing and screenwriting job to someone else, who would be hired to help?

Also, not to mention the actors themselves, where who will be the right actors for the characters themselves.

Yes, hwat if.

Maybe he's underfed.

JJ Abrams director.
Michael Arndt writer
Lawrence Kasdan writer

The lot doing the sequels pretty much, they've proven to know what works in their roles.
Want people who fell in love with the originals.
N most student filmmakers would have done a better job of writing n directing the prequels than george lucas did. Directing is not about CGI n special effects, its about communicating clearly with actors, good camera work, understanding the film you are making n how to make it engaging for the audience.

It's sad that arguably 2 of the worst written films in history (TPM and AOTC) are part of the star wars saga, n whats worse is they can't be undone. I am very hopefully that someday down the road Disney will remake the prequel trilogy n the real story of how anakin skywalker became Darth Vader will be told, but that is unlikely to happen.
All we can do is be glad that Lucas won't be making anymore star wars films (Yet thank him for creating it), and be hopeful and optimistic for episode 7.

Well... but then there is Star Trek: Into Darkness and Super 8 to consider as well.

both good films 🙂

Meh.

Homage fanboy movies... the love for referencing was a little too much in these movies. THey showed a lack of originality and a great preference to redo what's been done before. If he continues down that road with SW, it's doomed.
