I'll be surprised if MOS beats Iron Man 3 in earnings. IM3 opened up with $175 million, which is just under the Avengers.
I'm sure Man of Steel will do well, but Superman just isn't as well-liked as Iron Man is, and Henry Cavill doesn't have anywhere near the draw that Robert Downey Jr does.
Marvel also has The Wolverine on the way, which I'm sure will do ok.
