Sherlock Holmes vs Batman

Gotham City is tired of Batman and his vigilante ways so they decide to hire Mr. Holmes(Downey Jr.) to track down and capture the bat. Batman is aware Holmes is on the job and Holmes suspects the bat knows.

Holmes must discover the Batman's true identity, track him down, defeat him in h2h, and bring him to the police station all within 2 weeks. Can he do this or will the bat prevail?

1. Holmes vs Batman in "Begins"
2. Holmes vs Batman in "Knight"
3. Holmes vs Batman in "Rises"

Bonus: Holmes replaces Batman in Gotham and needs to stop the plans of the villians in these movies. Would he do a better job than the bat?

I'm assuming Batman is wearing his usual armor? Is this just an unarmed fight? Does he get to use any of his equipment?

I think his equipment would favor him too much so just h2h. Didn't really consider the armor. Guess Holmes would need to get the drop on him when he's just playing Bruce Wayne

If Batman is aware that Holmes is on the case then Holmes is screwed!

Even just using Batman Begins feats. Batman easily stalks and captures Holmes, takes him back to the Batcave and persuades him that they are similar in more ways than one. Especially considering Holmes is a recluse.

In regards to H2H. Nolanverse Batman is shown on film as being a heavy tactical brawler as I guess a homage to the the more classic Batmans we know from the past. (animated series Batman)
He isn't some Jet Li style fast paced fighter performing Kung Fu extravagant moves.
In Batman Begins Ra's Al Ghul/Ducard tells Bruce that "this isn't a dance".

Holmes seems more impressive than Wayne in battle. Yet Bruce hits heavily as proven by him shattering a wall in Dark Knight Rises.

If the fight becomes limited to Holmes vs Wayne in some room.
It would be a hard fight to assume who wins.
Bruce hits brutally and aggressively against men not familiar with his form of combat.
Holmes studies his opponent and preconceives combat movement then hits vital spots that cripple his opponents.

In regards to Holmes discovering Batman's true identity? If given enough time with the right resources it shouldn't be difficult for him to ascertain that Bruce's return to Gotham coincided with the appearance of the Batman. And working on that.

It's just a matter of who gets to who first. (Cue Terminator theme music)

What if bats was not aware he was being hunted?

Batman can know. It won't help him. Moriarty knew and Blackwood knew. It didn't do either of them any good. And Batman's nowhere near as clever as either of them.

Does anyone think Holmes would do a better job against the Batman villians?

Holmes would probably figure out Batman's ID within the first day, not sure about the fight, I'd have to double check the movies.

In regards to Batman not being aware that Holmes has arrived on the scene.
That's interesting.
The guy is from another time. He has proven to expose conspiracies with little more than newspaper clippings within a room!
No doubt Wayne will appear in his sights. And will work on it.

Based on-

1- Wayne arriving in Gotham at the same time the Batman appeared.
2- Wayne Manor being burnt to the ground at the same time as the terrorist strike on Gotham.
3- Wayne becoming a recluse after the capture of the Joker and death of Dent.
4- The fact that a cop figured out Wayne's secret in DKR.

Holmes ftw unless he has adequate police guard.
