Elysium (2013)

Debating whether or not to spend $15 on this... 66% on RT, which is pretty good, but RT has let me down so much lately.

Well as for whether or not this movie was any good I wouldn't trust RT considering Iron Man 3 got a 78%.

Meh, it was okay. Not as good as District 9. The script failed IMO. The visuals were dope though.

Dude, movie tickets in Australia start from $18 to $22 for 3D.

The only movies I tend to watch on the big screen these days are sci-fi & fantasy.

Pretty decent, but I like his district 9 movie more.

Matt portrayal was good and all the crap that happens in the movie kind of reflect off the real world >_<

Yeah, same here (for the most part). I think IMAX might actually be $17 where I live. I try to save it for things that are worth it.

I'm getting mixed reactions from this. I wasn't a huge fan of District 9. I mean, I enjoyed it, but I never really wanted to see it again.

I didn't even make it all the way through.

It was enjoyable enough to keep your attention, but just barely. No where near as good as District 9.

I saw this movie yesterday.
It was not bad, very nice cast they've put together.
Weird to see Damon bald and Jody plays a real die-hard c***. Man did I hate her.
It's very watchable and not a bad story at all. 7.5/10

I guess i'll give this movie a shot, enjoyed District 9 (mainly cuz of that gun that turned people to flying water).

Not as good as District 9. The story was much weaker. The SFX were cool, and enough to make you want to see it in the theater.

Just back from seeing it

got more out of then District 9 personally

also the actual space station itself reminded me of the place from the game Vanquish.

The future is so mexican. I love how if u want to break into a house on el all houses are empty. Lol

Yeah it was a good battle.

Good movie hampered by only 1 thing...The only character in it I liked was Kruger...Sharlto Copley totally steals the show...Bit problematic when you don't give a shit about the protagonist or the woman and her daughter.

Visually amazing...On that front up there with the visually best sci-fi movies of the last couple of years...Total Recall, Oblivion, Prometheus, Dredd
