There is a feat of Wally being touched, unaware, by a bullet to the back of his head - and his super speed automatically kicked in because he was in danger. IIRC he was even sitting down watching a movie when this happened. He doesn't need super senses when his speed will automatically kick in before he gets hurt.
I just gave an example to a concept. Don't shoot the example down and not the concept. What about gas (poison) that flash may breath or biological weapons that Flash can't sense?
