How powerful is Highfather without his staff?

How powerful is Highfather Izaya of the new gods without his staff? He doesn't have many feats, and the feats we do see has him using his staff. Would Highfather (apparently Darkseid's equal) be powerless without his staff or will be still be Darkseid's rival?
