Battle Bots tournament.

Several engineers and scientists from fiction enter into a tournament style competition to see who can build the most efficient machine within the confines of the rules of the match.

1. They can only use materials available on Earth. No future metals/fuels, and no might-as-well-be-magical tech, like time machines made from lemons. In fact, Lex Luthor is banned entirely.
2. Cannot weigh more than twenty lbs/9kg.
3. Energy and ranged weapons are prohibited. Melee/kinetic only.
4. No flight. No hovering.
5. Must stay within circular ring with a 50 meter radius, being forced out is a disqualification. The ring is filled with hazards such as ramps, swinging weights, and pressure plates that launch robots upward.

The robot builders are:
Tony Stark. (616 continuity)
Dr. Light.
Dr. Wily.
Dr. Gerald Robotnik.
Dr. Robotnik jr. (Eggman) (Both Robotniks restricted to games, no comic/anime/cartoon showings)
Dilbert (Tv series and comic)

They may choose to personally pilot their robots, or install an AI within the robot at the cost of one pound of weight, in addition to the weight it takes to actually install the computer which runs the AI. (This is to give Dilbert a chance, honestly. He cannot compete with the others in terms of piloting.)

20lbs? That's pretty light.

Too small for Light's or Wily's more advanced robot brains. Wily can likely make a tiny version of his little hardhat guys, but that's it.

Eggman can go pretty small... but his robots are powered either by chaos emeralds (disallowed) or small woodland critters (uh, maybe allowed? I guess a squirrel or small bird may be doable in the weight limit...).

Stark... he's probably the one to beat. Likely comes down to him and Eggman.

Eggman's greatest technological achievement is a moon-station that can wipe out a cluster of stars with a single firing of its weapon.

Unsure how well that would translate to this thread.

Iron Man - Without his patented repulsor blasts, no chance.
Dr. Wily - His own robot designs blow chunks. Maybe if he was reprogramming someone else's robot.
Dr. Gerald Robotnik - Not enough room for a chipmunk.
Dr. Robotnik jr. - Same?

It comes down to Dr. Light (or Right if you are from Japan) and Dilbert, in which case I'm going to have to give it to Dilbert, who made an exercise machine that can open a wormhole.

Wily created an AI so advanced that it could control any machine. So he's got that.

Yea, but I don't think he can fit it in the weight limit.

He should. It is generally kept in something this small.

All he'd really need is to create a small robot to hold it. A met sized robot would honestly serve the purposes just fine.
