Dante is physically faster, stronger and comes with better abilities. And while Amon's powers are only on a building level (though with a massive country size range, buildings were still standing from his melting powers), he has mountain level durability meaning Dante will have to go all out for a while to win this.

I think its possible that with the stats and tricks in Dante's favour, and being able to survive the majority of Amon's attacks, that this'll happen eventually /shrugs/

Vaping a large part of the Atlantic Ocean down to its floor is some serious shit and Amon tanked that kind of firepower with ease

Also, the melting thing seems to be more like some form of matter manipulation than pure power. It certainly isn't heat-based, for one thing
