He's healed before in and across multiple games. Herp. Him choosing to keep a neat looking glowy hole that doesn't harm him at all isn't a big deal. Gandalf is not strong enough to add more holes, and even if he was, they wouldn't harm Ganondorf any.

Strong enough. Easily kills the guy who cannot heal.
