Just watched the episode. Wow.

An Ahsoka novel has been announced.

Ahsoka Tano, fan favorite character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, will be the star of her own young adult novel from Disney Lucasfilm Press this October 11, 2016! Fans have long wondered what happened to Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order near the end of the Clone Wars, and before she re-appeared as the mysterious Rebel operative Fulcrum in Rebels. Finally, her story will begin to be told. Following her experiences with the Jedi and the devastation of Order 66, Ahsoka is unsure she can be part of a larger whole ever again. But her desire to fight the evils of the Empire and protect those who need it will lead her right to Bail Organa, and the Rebel Alliance…

Hopefully, this is real and not an early April fools joke...

YES. YES. YES. What a good day.

I know it was likely a ploy, but did anyone else find it surprising when Vader was like 'we need not be adversaries, the Emperor will show you mercy...ect.'

Now that I'm sufficiently refreshed: I'm not super impressed with the episode. It had a lot riding on it, but failed to deliver. I'll re watch it again tonight with hopefully better visual quality and see if my impression changes.

I enjoyed how fierce it made Vader as a duelist, dude definitely isn't some slow-ass behemoth, he's able to react to prequel-era acrobats and reflexes just fine.

But even the duels themselves weren't that well choreographed.

an hero

The Maul-Ezra interaction was just so weak in execution. Dude is blatantly untrustworthy. Approaching Traya-levels of obviousness. The challenges/tests surrounding the temple should have been more extensive and difficult. More time should have been spent on Vader. And his duel with Ahsoka. Blind!Kanan was an epic facepalm moment. Just goes on and on.

They just tried to cram so much shit in.

I did find the test/challenges in the Temple to be rather weak too. I didn't really see much reason as to why Sidious and Vader couldn't have done it forever ago.

This I agree with. This should have been spanned over 3 episodes rather than some of the useless episodes earlier in the arc.

Like Ezra should have gotten lost and had more time to develop with Maul.

Hopefully we get an adaptation of those final Clone Wars arcs...

I mean, let’s be honest, we pretty much need them at this point. Far more so than Dark Disciple, which was about two relatively unimportant characters.

Tbh to an extent I agree with Tempest. It had some amazing moments but it could have been better executed, in particular I find the constant BFR's and the Inquisitor's repeatedly helicoptering to the next set piece to be a bit contrived. One other thing I found was the darker, chilling atmosphere of the show was occasionally breached by inappropriate humour.

It was a great episode, and delivered in a lot of ways, but not on level with the best of TCW just yet.

Though wondering just how they are gonna top it and what's gonna happen next Season.

The helicopter blades were stupid as hell though...

I'm also getting the strangest feeling of an Obi-Wan vs Anakin/Vader thing that probably will happen between Kanan and Ezra.

Oh and also, was anyone else kinda disappointed with Malachor? I mean, Sith Temple aside...it looked kinda bland.

I thought it was one of the coolest set pieces yet. I loved the "stars" and all the corpses from an ancient battle strewn everywhere. Really cool.

Besides the saber-copters that were utter failures and destroyed the mood, everything was 10/10. If it had any non-alien female I would gladly fap to this episode repeatedly.

Crossing my fingers for someone who's not Christie Golden to write Ahsoka's novel...

It's being written by someone called E.K Johnston, he's had some favorable reviews so could be good, might try one of his novels.
