The clown didn't bother me too much because you knew it was there to scare you in some way.
The dead bodies in the pool was just gory, from a kid's point of view.

I just couldn't get over how the mom & kids thought the furniture moving was cool, especially the kid flying across the kitchen floor was considered "fun" with no logical explanation at all.

The blobbing, pulsing thing on the counter, and then the black dude's face starts to melt off. That kept me away from Poltergeist for twenty years, and then when I watched it again - the "SOOOO CHEEEESY!!" hit me.

I wonder if the new director will insist on having a psychic on the set.

Sam Rockwell in talks

The only director who has a chance in hell of making this movie work is Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead). Not interested in it without him. We'll probably just end up with a generic "turn corner and cue jump scene" movie like most nowdays.

Why anyone want to remake or reboot a classic like this that legend claims has a major curse attached to it is beyond me.

Like the curse was real.

You got proof it wasn't ?

Wasn't there a superman curse too?

This generation isn't capable of a good Poltergeist.

They'll just do something similar to Paranormal Activity.

I predict something similar to The Amityville Horror remake.

It is a series of deaths which can occur on the set of any movie. Since it was a horror movie you suddenly think it is real. Do you still try to catch Santa coming down the chimney ?

Ask Kazenji the superstitious one.

Let me guess you don't believe in all that sort of stuff

i'm not going to hold your hand if you stay in a haunted place.

The 1982 original was pretty much perfection and as much as I have no desire to see a remake/reboot, wishing won't make it so, but I will reiterate that the 1982 film was perfection.

gotta love the new trend....teaser trailer for a trailer.

The point of a trailer is to tease people about the movie and not reveal the entire damn plot and all of the jump scares.

Only if Michael bay directs it

Looks somewhat good

i remember reading somewhere that they said it was going to be more of a kids movie, Going by that it'll scare em.

Wonder if they'll do the scene where the guy picks off his face...
