He was one of the most effective against Starbrand. Who before he gave up was stomping pretty much the entire Avengers roster sent up against him. Even Invincible Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Thor.
And Quanchi, explain to me how you came to the conclusion that using a small medallion to nearly split the moon in half(While holding back) in a fit of rage is not impressive.

The Black Hole was contained. Superman aided in keeping the containment field around the black hole. It even states that there was a containment field.
Are you talking about this scene where the world is suppose to be broken (lol). First, show me the world being destroyed during this instance.
Its a figure of speech and it wasn't the only time it was mentioned.
Example in the same fight...
"I will stop the Crisis before it devours this world"
One Superman say to the other (same fight)...

The Other say... His world must die.
