Shielded, agile fighters with high-powered energy weapons vs a bunch of dudes on hover scooters. I don't see this going well for someone.

Even without the shielding you have large fighters vs hover scooters.

ID4 no probs.

Though it is arguable whether the Chitauri could just swarm them ID4 home ship.
