Basic judgement of their power level. Common Sense really. Spock is an excellent fighter don't get me wrong, but we are talking about Darth Vader right? Assuming lightsaber can't block a faster shooting phaser (in comparison to the slow shooting blaster in Star Wars), Darth Vader is seen blocking laser fire with his palm, and disarming Han. I know Spock could probably beat Han easily, so don't think that is what I'm saying. Spock's death grip could possibly be his only chance on Vader. Yet we aren't sure if that would be effective when Vader's body is being kept alive in his suit. But there is the force... and that puts Vader on entirely different Tier List to Spock. Remove the force from the equation and you get a decent fight... but I still feel the odds go in Vader's favour. But Spock just might surprise us with his advanced Star Fleet training. So these are my ratings:

With Force: Vader 94 Spock 23

Without Force: Vader 62 Spock 59

These numbers are just pulled from my head and are personel opinion,
