The Flash vs Zoom

This isn't a fight really since everyone would say Zoom would win but it is a question regarding these guys. Why couldn't Wally West out speed Zoom? He has no limit to how fast he can go, so why couldn't he catch Zoom?

Because Zoom had a finer control of time. No matter how fast Flash can be Zoom can always half his speed by slowing time down by double.

Speed is distance measured by time

No matter how fast Wally is Time is still the fixed part of the equation as he lives in a linier time line.

Time's not so fixed for Zoom.

Basically Zoom travels on the thing that Wally's speed is measured by. You can't get faster than the tool of measurement. That's how i see it anyway.

This is how I always see this fight ending in my head (in zooms favor)

Jay's description of Zoom's powerset:

Zoom's description of his powerset:

Essentially, Zoom can become as fast as he wants by moving himself further and further in time. Flash can never become as fast as Zoom on his own because he still operates within the confines of mainstream time-- Zoom does not.

Then how does Flash beat him
(i dont really read Flash Comics)
im guessin cis and pis?

Flash usually has major amps when he beats Zoom.

Cool

Flash's at optimum capacity are better i.e. when they have mastered time travel via speed and can control the speedforce. On the average though this is not the case.
