My one worry about being Reed smart is that I can actually imagine you possibly losing interest in all social interaction.
Imagine being so smart that everyone you talk to sounds like a 12 year old special ed kid. You'd stop wanting to talk to people altogether. And I can imagine most everyone not wanting to talk to you at all.

There is only so much booty one can want. Eventually, once your physical needs are met, you'll long for a higher level of connection. Especially given the level of enlightenment you'd achieve with Reed-level intellect, you'd literally crave it.
I'd still take the intellect, but I'd prolly take whatever the "dumb" drug that was featured in that Dr House episode just so I can interact socially with everyone else.

So the is reed intellect in real world, i never said he cannot advance tech, but hes not doing it in a week, maybe minor things but its takin a couple years for major stuff
