I joined a BDSM (whatever that is one). All these wimmin want me to hert them. Weird people as I say.

For guys it's not an issue, generally. But every girl who's ever done internet dating has some stories. I imagine it's still not a huge risk, but there's a lot of extra landmines for them to avoid. Old dudes, guys just looking to hook up on the first date and never call back, etc. I mean, profiles give the other person a cheat sheet for what interests you. If someone is willing to lie, they can seem like the perfect man for any number of women.
I know a fair number who have tried it. I'm actually curious myself, but have never done it. But among those I know who have done internet dating, the worst stories the guys have are just boring dates, or dates with girls less good looking than they let on. The couple girls I've spoken with both have a couple semi-scary creeper stories. But I do know two couples that are either married or long-term, and they met through internet dating sites. So the payoff is there for some.
