You name Iron Clad and Rhino as if Captain himself hadn't punked those jobbers. Have you seen Cage being schooled by Iron Fist without using his namesake punch? Because I have? Have you seen Cap dealing damage to enemies with a much higher durability than Cage thanks to his uber shield?

Is it the original Claremont fight, where he's being strangled at the end, or the 90's (You'll know it by his outfit, which included a leather jacket, I believe..) one where he KO's Danny with a sucker kick?
Cage and Danny have been all over the place when fighting each other.. Objectively though, if Cage gets hurt by bullets, Danny should tear right through him if he doesn't hold back on his Iron Fist strikes.

Anyways, would Iron Fist utterly destroy Cage using Cap's shield? Imo he doesn't need it, but to me that's the tipping point. The difference between Luke and Cap beating bricks in that Steve has no business sonning them, and once you prove he can get through high durabilities there is no reason to assume he cannot affect Luke. This is more important in this matchup that Luke taking on unskilled bricks via strength.

Bullets hurt him at least through the original Power Man and Iron Fist run, into the 1980's.
For the era, Priest did right, by having Danny nearly take his head off, imo.
And in fact, Claremont himself had Danny one up Cage on several occasions, like ripping apart robots he couldn't even dent. Which makes Claremont writing Cage tanking Danny's best Iron Fist to no effect a puzzler.. Did he really believe Cage was that tough, and changed his mind in later stories? Or was he under editorial pressure (It being Cages comic and all, before Danny became his partner.)
