MM has shown strength and speed very close to that of Superman's. Speed blitz, phasing, shape shifting, mind controlling beat down. MM has the tools...

The mind control tactic will fail and only leave the JLA facing an even more powerful Hulk. If Xavier with Emma and back-up couldn't do it, MM isn't.
Shape shifting is of no use, Hulk has devastating omnidirectional attacks and his thunderclaps have always been enough to floor heralds.
There's nothing MM can do (sans bfr).

Mindless hulk trapped vision inside him but that was due to the fact that hulk himself was losing cohesion and has nothing to do with him tagging intangible beings. Also this isn't WWH, Thanos and that goth chick in Avengers already mindcontrolled hulk. Hulk has been mindcontrolled or calmed down by telepaths more times than I can count. Unless MM does some kind of dimensional self-bfr, for his intangibility, he will be vulnerable to Hulk's hands.

He doesn't need to. He already exists in a different dimension when he goes intangible.
Feats would say otherwise. J'onn has feats beyond either Thanos and that chick in avengers in telepathy.
This isn't WWH. He has been mindcontrolled and calmed down plenty of times, just recently Venus did it and calmed him down. He didn't break free of Thanos and that chick's control by getting angry, did he?
Depending on how pissed the Hulk is, mind control will not work. We saw this instance when he went berserk on Onslaught. That was the Hulk with Banner pushed all the way back, to an almost dormant state. In other words a pure rage monster. Are we going with the characters at their best here, or what? If it's at their best, the Hulk isn't getting mind whammied, and he is capable of touching phantoms, energy beings, and astral planar beings. This has always been a part of his power set. J'onn would pass out from the amount of rage fueling the Hulk, so he wouldn't be a good opponent for the Hulk to face.
Physically J'onn is a beast, but he isn't anywhere near the Hulk. How many Hercs would J'onn possibly register? I say J'onn and Hercules are about even in terms of strength, with a possible slight edge to Hercules.
J'onn does have the speed advantage, and this would be his best bet. He would or should BFR the Hulk, but that option is turned off in this battle.
