Hard to say. The class 5 did take a nuclear explosion point blank and although injured was still in battle ready condition.

I know the Cloverfield monster was pretty tough but I can't remember the upper limit of what it took.

I do believe any of the class 4s would be able to beat Godzilla though.

'adult' cloverfield is sadly an unknown quantity. Wish they could have elaborated to it's potential but given the movies nature it just wasn't in the cards. Sooo 'baby' cloverfield is all we have (again, sadly) and he was taken down pretty easy when compared to the Kaiju.

It likely took at least one massive bombing (Hammer Down protocol) and was still alive. IIRC, we hear something like "it's still alive" before the camera cuts out.

Kaiju shit all over it and the US godzilla though.

The quote is: "Yes, he's dead. Ultimately the bombs kill him."

Could mean it died from the wounds it sustained from that bombing we saw later on, or it could mean it survived and they kept bombing it 'x' amount of times until it died.

The later seems more plausible to me.

The Kaiju's were pretty tough. They tore two of the Jaegars apart pretty quick. And the first Kaiju, lower class level, took the governments 6 days to stop with conventional weapons. That's better than Zilla's performance.
