Either way, I still think Momoa is a bad, bad choice for Aquaman. He's not a bad actor, and I could see him playing another comic character, just not Aquaman.
This is a character that has endured since the 1940s, and has had solo books for decades. You don't radically change something like that, imo.

If this casting is true, believe me when I say there will be an uproar. That's all WB has done with their casting. They are killing hype for their movies with these horrible choices. Everyone I named for Wonder Woman and the one man that came to my mind for Aquaman would be better than Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa. I actually think Momoa would be a good Lobo, but Aquaman?

There was another poster who recommended someone who actually looks like WW, bigger, and stated she was a decent actress. She would have been better than Gadot, IMO. But Perry? Naaah. I'm good. 😂

I could easily see them tweaking things. Looks like they are tweaking SHAZAM as well.
Apparently the Shazam entry became active on the Tracking Board a day before Nikki's news. Tracking Board tracks movies currently in pre-production. The entry is password protected, but the timing coming a day before Nikki's announcement adds fuel to the speculation.

Hartley wasn't Aquaman in Smallville, he was Green Arrow.
He was Aquaman in the unaired pilot, and did a decent job imo.
I honestly haven't seen anything in Momoa's past to think he'd be a good match for Aquaman. Again, not saying he's a bad actor; I still just don't think the role suits him, both in look and in range.

I can't think of WB ever picking someone who's already played a super hero in a show, then picked them for a possible major role in a Hollywood film. It's hard for a TV actor to make it big in Hollywood in general.
