@elmayimbe I’ve seen the BvS trailer in front of TFA, 4 times now. Every single audience reacted to the WW reveal. The hype is real.

I wonder if the presence of WW will get BVS past 200 M OW. People seemed hyped about her.

Umberto also confirms test screenings to be positive.

2 different theaters in Queens, 2 different audiences. Same reaction. I think BvS will be fine. They have a special movie on their hands.

If you don't want to use that example (which I still think is valid), there are others, so the evidence is still there.

I'm not trying to start an argument or debate.
I just think its wrong to attribute the term "super human strength" to Batman.
The fact that he's mortal who spent his younger years training to become a detective & the master of various fighting skills shouldn't be forgotten.

It would be lazy writing & uncharacteristic to simply say he has superhuman strength.

The problem is the comics. There are comics that treat him like a guy in a suit that's just really smart and well trained. Then there's the guy that outsmarts everyone, can make demi-gods bleed with a kick, and is just plain ridiculous in his abilities.

Batman is "technically" human, and I obviously don't think he should be referred to as superhuman. I just don't mind him straddling the line a little, because it helps him look relevant next to the people beside him.

True. I do understand what you're saying.
Personally I always avoided the storylines that puts Bats in a space suit fighting aliens or as you mentioned, Demi-gods.
I much prefer the vigilante detective.
The Frank Miller reality where he grows weary, grows old & gets hurt.

What I don't get is, is if the movie is so good, why give away so much of it in the trailer?

There is still much you don't know.

That's unfortunately up to the marketing department.
Once Snyder finished his directorial duties, he has no say & little control over the end product.

It won't be Peter Jackson-kind-of-long, so they really shouldn't reveal so much in trailers.

There's one more coming...

Boggles the mind how people actually want certain characters to be portrayed based on ridiculous super high end feats shown in the comics. When most of the time those feats were because of stupid writing or wanking the character by the fanboy writer.

I wouldnt want Spiderman punching out Firelord, or Hulk destroying an asteroid 2X the size of earth with 1 punch in the films. Thats just stupid.

But then you have people just waiting for shit like to to be shown on screen for their favorite characters.
Keep that dumb nonsense in the cartoons & comics, not in the films.👇

BTW, it's 2 hours and thirty minutes. It's a long movie.

I highly doubt this movie will outsell Star Wars. Star Wars trailers were all good. The third BvS trailer was damaging and only got like 20 something million views in 24 hours.

It doesn't matter what I know. What matters is they've sent the audience a message that says "we will show you anything to get you in that theatre."

One trailer won't doom the film. Marvel fans are really grasping at straws now.

Yes it was a miss but the comic con trailer is considered the best trailer of the year.

WB has been getting great reception to their screenings and are very confident in this film.

Enjoy this year comic fans, we are in for a ride.

Not a fan of the Miller Batman stuff myself, but yeah, generally I'd prefer it if they play to his strengths. I just don't want him to be as "average" as the Bale version.

You think anyone genuinely wants to see a Batman in this movie that can make Doomsday bleed with a kick? If there are, they'd be a very small minority.

This will be the most powerful version Batman in live action.

That's really not saying a whole lot. I mean, nobody in the live action movies, shows or serials has come even remotely close to being the super detective/ninja/badass that Batman is in the comics or in his own cartoon shows.

He can be the most powerful, if that even is the right word, without being excessive in any real way.

Damaging? It's been generally positive over social media (as I have pointed out many times) and you're counting only one source, which is Youtube. When CW broke it's own records, they counting MULTIPLE sources.
