lol @ Eisenberg not being talented. That's just being silly, even if he does end up being a bad Luthor.

He's got some talent but for niche characters. Mostly Weasley hipster douchey type characters.
He is totally wrong for a character like Lex

Like Kevin James is good (stretch) for goofball characters. But he would be no good if they cast him to portray a menacing and serious character.

According to this guy, the reactions to the early screenings haven't been great. Umberto has said the opposite, so we'll see.

This guy does say that he's heard Jessie is great as Lex Luthor, though. And Ben is solid as Batman.

thats the thing im not quite getting though. People seem to be acting like theres no version of lex that eisenberg can play. Hes not nearly as defined a character as say, clark or bruce.

It is DC let the fans continue to back the poor casting choice. When the movie hits and he's awful I'm going to rub it in to everyone who said otherwise.

He has a public persona, so the whole "boys" thing, as awful as it is, doesn't necessarily reflect the "true persona" of the guy.

He still might be awful, but anyone saying they "know he'll suck" is just being silly unless they've seen it already.

If that's the case, sure. But so far we've only seen the *akwardward goof*, which to me isn't Luthor at all; that's all I can judge on until I watch the film.

I want the brilliant ruthless calculating billionaire who doesn't really know funny, even if it dared slap him in the face. Mark Strong would have been my pick for this style of Luthor.

*Sure it worked for the Reeve films, but those were a bit tongue-in-cheek*

If he's just an awkward goof, then sure, that's stupid. I just can't see Snyder being that monumentally dumb. They've hinted at "more" in a couple of bits and pieces, so I'll, like you, wait til the movie comes out.

I'm not going to get the Lex I want. I doubt I'll even get the Superman or Batman I want. But I'll take acceptable over a complete bastardisation of the character, like we got with Ultron and will be getting with Aquaman, no matter how much Momoa tries.

From the very small sample size that i've seen of Eisenberg, I surprisingly liked it. He seemed ruthless and calculating when he spoke, but again it was just for a few mere seconds.

Great trailer. Affleck Batman looks great.

Uh Oh..

If that is true, expect Snyder to be gone and the Batman solo to be pushed forward.

Last trailer seems much better. Hopes went up

yea he is.. a role like Lex isn't for him.. Eisenberg acts the same tired ass way so unless that changes which it prolly won't going by what the trailers have shown...

I guess also he couldn't afford a better wig to wear...
