For something that got below 30 RT and horrible reviews, Box office was still pretty solid. Solid enough to continue the DCEU. Good thing Affleck is taking over as Producer.

Dunno what to think about that. On one hand, Syder is diminished; which is great. On the other why Affleck? Oh well, it's still good news though Snyder is still directing stuff is he not?

Affleck must be a sucker for punishment .
Took him years to live down Gigli then Reindeer Games, followed by Daredevil & now the figurehead for DC.

Who knows? Maybe he has a better vision? It should be the team of Johns and Affleck.

They should have got rid of Snyder completely.
Now they have Snyder working on Justice League but got Affleck to overlook Snyders work. Like publicly saying, your work sucks thats why we got another more competent person to babysit you so you dont fuq up again.
Snyder must feel like shit, currently working on JL. Will probably affect his work even more.

It's so bad at DC.

WB doesn't want to let him go.. He should do wonders for the Justice League films since right now he is rewriting them ...

Not really, because it made half its box office on OW. So it's legs were terrible.

If WB doesn't get critics on board for Justice League it will be a disaster.

It's legs were bad, but 850 plus isn't a failure at all. It also opened in every territory, too.

Warner Brothers should have let Christopher Nolan direct BvS and Justice League...

While not perfect (his action sequences could use some work), Nolans movies consistently tell excellent stories and feature memorable characters (Walter Finch from Insomnia and Doctor Mann from Interstellar come to mind)...

I think Nolan would have done BvS far more justice than Snyder did...

Nolan wants to do his own thing now. However, if Inhuman's sources are correct, he might be attached to future DC properties.

Yeah but that's pretty much all down to OW, because like you said it's legs were bad. So what happens next time if it doesn't have such a large OW?

WB has to get critics on board with the next one or their DC event movies are going to continue to be financial disappointments.

Adam Gertler really gave it to Mike Kalinowski on last week's DC Movie news, over his "over-defensive" stance on Batman V Superman's financial performance, and Snyder leading the way forward:

Adam was harsh, but it needed to be said to Mike.

Each movie is its own entity. I think JLA will do more.

Honestly I said before both movies came out that BvS doing WELL would only HELP Civil War. I also believe that Campea was right....BvS sucking kind hurt Civil War. But Civil War is a good enough movie that it doesn't hurt too much.

How is CW hurting?

Many movie analysts and "experts" predicted Civil War could make upwards of $200 million opening weekend; with some estimates as high as $225 million. I wasn't really sure what it would do but considering the last 2 MCU films with that many heroes opened much better; it's hard not to point to either:

A) Super hero fatigue (which I don't really believe in yet)

B) BvS (similar movie theme) not living up to expectations
