Marvel's key in beating DC isn't about quality movies, or the foresight to have a strategy in their phases. It's their ability to create a massive groupthink in their favor. It's their ability to take the common person and have them side with Marvel that can match pure fanboyism like yours.

Part of it is the media. Iron Man 2 is considered a pretty bad movie. Yet it has 20 more percentage points than Man of Steel and received a certified "fresh" rating on RT. IM2 is not that significantly better than MoS. Evidenced by that fact that in the user ratings, MoS beats not only IM2 but matches a lot of the MCU in how the general public enjoyed the movie.

I don't know how Marvel did it but their real strategy isn't about the movies.

Iron Man 2 was way better than MoS, imo.

Both IM2 and MoS had 400,000 ratings on RT. Out of those 400,000 people MoS > IM2. It was close though.

That's not the point and I didn't ask for your opinion either. The point is that the circlejerk claims one movie is certifiably fresh while the other is beyond garbage when both movies were for the most part equally enjoyable to the general public.

Marvel has the benefit of an established cinematic universe to root for. Even if a particular Marvel installment is mediocre, it's ratings are boosted by the simple fact that it exists within a universe everyone loves.

Most people on this site loved avengers, cap 2, and now GOTG so it is about the quality of the films. Crying that marvel brainwashed people is more or less crying because dc is making stupid moves and trying to play catchup to marvel who let the cinematic world know this can be done.

Marvel deserves all the praise they get. I never said they didn't. What I did claim is that Man of Steel statistically is just as enjoyable as any of the solo movies bar Iron Man. Yet it gets the most shit because of the **** DC sentiment. Of course it's not entirely undeserved but DC is clearly looking to improve upon its disasters but they've done enough good that the complete fanboy brigade against DC is ridiculous. Dc fans whined about Ben Affleck. I think he's a good actor. Marvel is winning because they have a well thought out plan and are making more solid films in a cinematic universe as opposed to dc.

Batman V Superman should easily cross the Billion Dollar WW mark considering the last 2 Batman movies managed that in 2d, and Superman's hardly a lightweight at the box office either. So we should be expecting 1.2-1.3 Billion WW as long as it's a decent film.

If the film is really good however, then yeah expect Avengers type box office.
