Before the 90's cartoon it was 'The Amazing Spider-Man game (1990)'
but yeah that cartoon hooked me in too.
I liked Spidey from the very first time when, as a kid, I set eyes on the old 60's era Spiderman cartoons from Grantray-Lawrence, Y'know, the one with the catchy opening theme song 😆
Here it is!

Not a classic story OR villain, but i was hooked.

That's around the time I began to re-like Spiderman thru
watching the old 60's era Grantray-Lawrence cartoons again and having a better understanding of them when I was around 10. I liked them when I started watching them for the first time at 5 but wasn't quite able to get the story of each episode, I just liked all the action and stuff (typical little kid)
When I was 5 I also was a big fan of the old Batman-Superman adventures I watched before going to kindergarten. So thatmight have put a hold on full appreciation for Spidey as well 😆

Remember the old Marvel "cap and his mighty shield" cartoons?
Always wondered why Spidey didnt get the treatment...
'When Captain America throws his Mighty Shield
All those who choose to oppose his shield will yield
As the Red and the White and the Blue come thru
When Captain America throws his mighty shield!'
Yup, sure do remember them! Not sure if that's the whole song, but that's what I remember from my youth. I also remember the Hulk cartoon and the Mighty Thor and a bunch of others. Great days!
