By all means Zod should've enough gun to beat Kang for the majority in a random encounter, mostly because of the speed -otherwise Kang would eventually pull a weapon that thrashes kryptonians-.

In a prepped match it isn't even a fight, Kang conquers.

Either anti-matter (he has shown use of it since his first appearance) or rays like the Ultradiode one (it depowered Wonderman, others have disposed of Herc) could potentially harm Zod. He also was melting Surfer's skin with a heat beam as per his own admission.
