I mean, Pre-Flashpoint is still a weird definition for Darkseid who varied from 'Final Crisis multiversal black hole' to 'just a little above Superman in a fistfight' in the Post Crisis era.
Admittedly, either way he'd win, as even at his worst showings post-crisis he was powerful enough to beat these two.

👍. Thought all those low showings were retconned as avatars too.

"Avatars" is something that had been in play before, but Morrison's retcon was at another level. It's a headache even for comics, though.
It didn't really help that Countdown and Death of the New Gods involved the New Gods right before Final Crisis and feel entirely different to, and contradict, Morrison's take on them. Really messy when you consider he had asked that they wouldn't be used leading up to it.

Morrison also acknowledged both, having Superman at the end of FINAL CRISIS referring to Orion ripping out Darkseid's heart in COUNTDOWN and in FINAL CRISIS SECRET FILES writing something making both the Anti-Life Entity and his take on the Anti-Life Equation coexist(although I don't remember the details, would have to take another look).
