Didn't Atom only beat Nekron because Nekron was using the Quantum Field?

It was an odd fight in an odd issue. I'll post the scans later, I'm not on my main pc right now.

What kind of attack/damage/power "feats" does Nekron have that would allow him to put down a highly-fed Galactus?

He doesn't do 'energy' attacks (think Death and Oblivion). Anything that's dead (even if they've been made alive later) are under his control (unless the White Entity is involved). Even elemental forces and aspects of God aren't immune.

Galactus has been dead at LEAST two times that I can think of. Nekron would just will him to "rise" and have a new slave.

Also keep in mind that during the 80s he empowered Krona to do his bidding and Krona was causing the universe to collapse into a singularity. For comparisons sake, this is what Maelstrom was doing during Cosmos In Collision and this guy was laughing in the face of Galactus daring him to do something.

Krona with part of his power also easily destroyed Guardians.

And back then, the Guardians weren't a joke. They were actively fighting back against the collapsing universe but failing though. They were moving planets and solar systems out of harms way and stuff.

Hm. The "forced rez" approach is actually a very compelling argument. Will need to see how this works (gonna try to look it up) exactly, tho. But if it works the way you say it does, it can certainly be a game changer here.

It worked perfectly on Spectre. The black ring actually imprisoned spectre force. No reason it wouldn't work on Galactus.

Can you post that scene where Guardians were moving the solar systems and such?

Hal explains it here :

Guardians in action here :

They were struggling but failing to keep the planets and stars from collapsing into the singularity. It's a damn massive feat considering people currently view them as high herald to low trans level characters. And also keep in mind it wasn't all of them that were trying to prevent universal collapse. Some of them broke off to fight Nekron while the others tried to stop the collapse to buy the Lanterns time to come up with a plan!

And proof that Nekron was the one that empowered Krona so that he could collapse the universe :

That is just an awesome feat for Guardians if they were able to stop galaxies from contracting. They are certainly skyfather level as they weren't retconned in COIE.

So based off of one space cheese feat in which you aren't even sure if it is canon or not still ?

They may have not been retconed by COIE, but they were retconned by yours truly, Geoff Johns.

Geoff Johns is an excellent writer.
