Matrix Sentinel Swarm vs Pacific Rim

1. 250,000 Matrix Sentinels pour out of a portal in Times Square. Humanity anticipated this, evacuated Manhattan, and sent Gypsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon, ‎Striker Eureka,‎ and Cherno Alpha to stop them at the breach. Can they do it?

2. 250,000 Matrix Sentinels pour out of a portal in Times Square, where they meet four Class 5 Kaiju, who do not like their presence. They duke it out. Who takes it?

Matrix sentinels defeat both Kaiju and Jaegers. Too fast, too many.

Jaegers were designed to defeat single equal sized opponents.

Matrix Sentinels at this amount simply overwhelm them via lasering into their hull and creating chaos from within.

It's no different from a bee swarm attacking an unfortunate allergic human.

nothing the jaegers/kaiju can do here except lose

You know, I would assume that the scientists behind this advanced cerebral mech technology would be more than capable of creating some type of device that has ample EMP capabilities. Which in return would render the sentinels useless, however, they never displayed any emp weapons so, going of simple brute strength, they have nothing that could defend against the onslaught of sentinels

One of the Kaiju (leatherback, the gorilla like one) had an EMP. Shame he isn't in this fight.

Cherno Alpha does have a flame-thrower like weapon, and there is the option of detonation for it and Gipsy, but yea, they are not designed to kill swarms.

Mind you, casualties would be horrendous, Sentinels are not designed to kill things that big and casual swatting or running through the swarm would kill them in mass number.

Hmm... heh, it does occur to me that the best tactic may simply be running through at high speeds, turning around, and repeating ^^ Bug on windshield effect.

Unless we grant one of the cat 5s in the second scenario a similar ability.

Dude didn't the sentinels latch onto hulls and start burning?
A handful get in and it's all over.

Sure, but those ships are moving at relatively small speed. I'm talking running through them so they impact.

Also, Jaegers have thick armor, it'll take a long time to burn through. They can also do stuff like jump and land on their backs hard to destroy most on it at any one time, and so on.

The raw quantity means they'll still likely fall eventually, but they can deliver hellish casualties.
